CYPPS May Update from Sarah Miller
Hi All,
The placements team had slightly fewer referrals in March than the previous few months, but we are still very busy with 149 active placement searches on-going (including 42 CWD Short-Breaks).
Out most needed placement is for teenagers, currently 25 teenage foster placements are required. We also need placements for sibling groups, with 7 sibling groups with open searches (either 2 or 3 siblings to be placed together). There are also 19 children between 5 and 12 needing long-term foster placements.
We really appreciate your on-going support and commitment to Essex children and young people. Please do bear with us if we sometimes phone you more than once or ask you to look after a child that would not be in your ideal age range or with slightly higher needs that you would expect.
