Join us for a online information event to learn more about supported lodgings from the comfort of your own home.
The difference between being a foster carer and a supported lodgings carer is that a supported lodgings carer's role is to empower a young person who is aged over 16 to live independently.
The expectation is that when the young person's placement comes to an end the young person can live independently in the private/social housing sector.
During this virtual session you will be able to:
- speak with experienced supported lodgings carers
- find out about the children needing supported lodgings
- speak with social workers and ask them any questions.
Please join the call on Zoom by 1pm as there will be a short presentation followed by a Q&A session. You will then get the opportunity to speak with social workers and experienced carers. The event will last approximately one hour.
You can join the Zoom call in your internet browser, or you can download the Zoom app beforehand which is quick, easy and free. If you have any issues joining the call, please email FosteringRecruitmentDuty@essex.gov.uk or call 0800 801 530.
We look forward to meeting you virtually! If you have any questions or would like to know more about the event beforehand, please email or call us on the details above.
